From Nairobi to Cairns is a long way for a cup of coffee, but this role is built around one: a specialty roaster in Far North Queensland needs several Baristas.
It suits someone who can lead the coffee programme, hold drink quality and efficiency steady, coach the baristas on shift and help the team improve its products. The work is full-time, 5am to 2pm, Monday to Friday, with weekends available.
On the migration side, the positions are eligible for employee sponsorship under the FNQ DAMA, the Far North Queensland Designated Area Migration Agreement.

Key Responsibilities
- Train and manage the barista team
- Make sure every customer gets a genuine, efficient, top-tier coffee experience
- Lead QC cupping sessions
- Work closely with the roasting team
- Help select green beans for purchase
- Roast for production when needed
- Keep up WH&S standards throughout the space
Requirements & Eligibility
- Deep specialty coffee knowledge and experience; Q-grader, cupping, barista competition, barista training and/or roasting work is highly advantageous
- Proven leadership and team-building skills
- A love of people and customer service
- Strong time management and organisational skills, and a growth mindset
- Willingness to start at 5am
