In Christchurch city centre, a Mexican-themed restaurant with a lively feel is looking for four waitstaff who have done this work before. You would look after guests with real warmth, follow the restaurant's selling system when serving food and drinks, and be free to let your own personality show while you work out what each table needs.
Expect full-time hours of at least 30 a week, with nights, weekends and the summer rush. Training in food, drinks and service is built in and repeated regularly. The restaurant is an accredited employer under the AEWV sponsorship system, so it can guide you through the immigration process if that is needed.

Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests at the door and talk them through the menu
- Take orders and carry food and drinks out to the tables
- Clear and reset tables, keep the floor clean, enter orders into the POS and take card and cash payments
- Follow New Zealand liquor laws and work with management to meet licensing rules
- Promote the restaurant's products and services and finish the regular in-house training modules
Requirements & Eligibility
- Comparable work in a similar role for a minimum of six months, or a Level 2 or 3 Diploma qualification
- Good knowledge of New Zealand liquor laws
- Free for nights, weekends and the busy summer months, and keen to work hard in a fast-paced job while learning the restaurant's menu and service standards
