A popular, stylish restaurant in central Christchurch serves modern Asian cuisine in a room with its own aquarium, and it wants four experienced waitstaff. Good service is the priority: staff serve food and drink following the restaurant's selling system, notice what guests need and are encouraged to show their personality and enjoy the work.
The job is permanent and full time, at least 30 hours a week, so you need to be free for nights, weekends and the busy summer months. As an accredited employer, the restaurant can sponsor workers and assist through the immigration process if required.

Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and talk them through the menu and what the restaurant offers
- Take part in regular in-house beverage, food and service training, and finish the training modules
- Take orders, deliver them to tables, clear and reset tables, and enter orders through the POS
- Handle electronic and cash payments, and apply NZ liquor laws with management and guests so licensing requirements are met
- Keep the restaurant tidy and promote products and services according to its policies
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least six months of experience in a similar role, or a Level 2 or 3 Diploma qualification
- Good knowledge of NZ liquor laws
- Availability for nights, weekends and the busy summer months, with the motivation to work hard and learn the restaurant's offerings and service standards
