Support Workers are wanted by a community disability support organisation in regional Western Australia. They help the people the organisation supports to lead independent lives, building skills, assisting with domestic tasks and providing personal care in people's homes and out in the community, always on person-centred principles.
This is a contract position, and a sponsorship opportunity is available to the right candidates.

Key Responsibilities
- Work to each person's individual plan, take responsibility for planned activities, and organise outings and leisure
- Back people to follow their own interests and friendships and to make their own choices
- Give domestic support and personal care at home in line with each plan
- Write reports and records on time, keep the coordinator in the loop and respect confidentiality
- Keep the workplace safe for yourself and others
Requirements & Eligibility
- Current First Aid Certificate and current Working with Children Check
- Current WA C-class driver's licence
- Understands the needs of people with physical and intellectual disabilities, with a positive attitude to them
- Solves problems well and copes under pressure
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, and works well in a team
- Organised, with workloads prioritised so deadlines are met
- Desirable: experience working with people with disability
