A busy country hotel pub in Dubbo is hiring an experienced senior cook or chef who is solid on the pan, grill and cold larder sections. The job covers days, nights and weekends, backs up the Head Chef and means guiding the junior kitchen team during each shift.
Sponsorship is available for the right candidate. Applicants need to be already living in Australia and free to come in for a trial.

Key Responsibilities
- Cook and serve to the menu, recipes and the Head Chef's wishes, including meals for special dietary requirements, and help plan menus
- Keep an eye on stock and waste, and help check deliveries for quality and correct storage
- Show juniors techniques, advise them, and direct kitchen attendants and apprentices during your shift
- Keep the kitchen and food storage clean and hygienic as food safety legislation requires
- Follow food handling and safety procedures and tell the Head Chef about incidents
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least 5 years of hands-on work on pan and grill sections
- Certificate III and IV in Commercial Cookery, and a skills assessment for cook or chef
- Lives in Australia and can come in for a trial
- Flexible for days, nights and weekends
- Strong at teamwork and communication
