Cairns has a family-run trattoria with open-air tables and a busy dining room, serving homestyle Italian food from breakfast right through to late, seven days a week. Its wine list is built to reward the curious. The restaurant wants a Restaurant Supervisor to take charge of service on the floor.
You would run shifts, look after the team and own the guest experience. For the right person there is a direct pathway into management, and you pick up the business side of the restaurant as you go. Full Australian work rights are required, and sponsorship is available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Take charge of service on the floor, managing bookings and the flow of tables while working closely with the kitchen
- Lift the standard of service and coach staff as it happens
- Make the wine list come alive by recommending and pairing, and show the team how
- Lock up the restaurant: cash-up and the daily checklists
- Take on rostering, training, stock and ordering as you build manager skills, remembering regulars by name and giving new guests a reason to return
Requirements & Eligibility
- Supervisory or senior floor experience in a quality, busy restaurant (ideally 2+ years)
- Solid wine knowledge: confident on styles, regions and food pairings, and keen to learn
- A clear picture of great service and the habit of keeping to it on a big night
- A current Queensland RSA, and an RMLV or willingness to complete it on the way to management
- Availability on a seven-day roster including nights, weekends and public holidays, and full Australian working rights
