Sydney's south-east has a community pub, part of a bigger hotel group, that is looking for a hands-on, people-focused Duty Manager. Its trade is steady across the bar, gaming, sport, events and guest rooms, thanks to loyal regulars, and the group values strong governance, clear standards and growing its leaders.
As Duty Manager you own the shift and help run both front and back of house. An experienced Duty Manager would suit, as would a senior supervisor ready for broader leadership. Sponsorship is available.
Venue managers are hired on proof of control. Show the shifts you have run, your cash handling and reporting, any gaming or licensing training and the teams you coached. If you manage in Nairobi or Mombasa, include hotel or bar roles. Build AI CV can turn that into a clear duty manager CV.
Key Responsibilities
- Take charge of each shift, whether it is bar, gaming, functions or guest rooms
- Open and close the venue, handle cash and complete reports
- Help make functions and events run well
- Assist with ordering, stock control and dealing with suppliers, and contribute to rosters and efficient use of labour
- Help keep the venue compliant on RSA, RCG, gaming, WHS and food safety
- Assist with local marketing and in-venue promotions
- Coach and develop team members and protect service standards and the guest experience
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least 1 year as a Duty Manager or Senior Supervisor
- Experience with gaming, TAB and KENO
- Current RSA, RCG and ARCG
- Strong leadership presence and communication skills
- Calm, organised and solutions-focused, and comfortable balancing service, people and compliance
- Back-of-house experience is highly regarded; experience of functions, guest-room operations, inventory, rostering, compliance reporting and local marketing is favourable
