3 roles are open with a growing Vietnamese restaurant group in regional New South Wales, for experienced Cooks/Chefs who can start at once. The kitchens are fast-paced and commercial, so the group wants motivated, reliable, hardworking people, and some initial training may be held in Port Macquarie.
The employer is an approved business sponsor and welcomes people who currently hold a Temporary Graduate Visa (Subclass 485). For suitable and eligible long-term Cook/Chef candidates, Skills in Demand Visa (Subclass 482) support may be considered, depending on business needs, individual eligibility, work performance and applicable immigration requirements; it is not automatic. This role is open to applicants already located in Australia who are willing to work at the restaurant they are allocated.

Key Responsibilities
- Cook Vietnamese and other Asian-style dishes to the standard a restaurant expects
- Hold quality, plating and portions steady from plate to plate
- Handle prep and stock rotation, and leave the kitchen clean
- Apply food safety and hygiene rules every shift
- Stay efficient through the lunch and dinner rush and work smoothly with kitchen and front of house colleagues
Requirements & Eligibility
- A Commercial Cookery qualification, or relevant professional kitchen experience
- Time in Asian cuisine kitchens (Vietnamese, Thai, Chinese or other Asian restaurants) is preferred
- Cooking noodle soups, stir-fries, rice dishes or other Asian meals is an advantage
- Independent and calm in busy service periods
- Reliable and punctual, with high standards
- Flexible hours including weekends; must be currently located in Australia
