Commis Chef

Visa sponsorship

Hospitality · Queenstown, New Zealand · Full-Time · $28 - $29/hr · Visa: Employer sponsored

Queenstown, New Zealand, has two permanent places for Commis Chefs, each on a contract of 30 hours a week, at a hotel bar and restaurant whose menu is hearty and rustic. Breakfasts, conference catering and the main menu all pass through the kitchen, and you would cook and present them as one of a close-knit team that keeps things running.

Late nights, weekends and public holidays are part of the roster. The business could potentially sponsor a visa for the right candidate.

A Commis Chef CV should name the menus and kitchens you have worked in. If you are in Nairobi or Mombasa, get it written with Build AI CV.

  • Deliver a quality product to every guest
  • Keep supplies and equipment in order, and avoid waste
  • Pitch in with other kitchen tasks, including washing up
  • Assist with freezing and preserving food, and with training and recruitment when asked
