Sunshine Coast diners rate this independently owned café highly for its inventive breakfasts and lunches, good ingredients and food made in-house, served with real hospitality. As the team grows, it needs a talented, motivated Chef. Candidates at several levels are welcome, whether an experienced Chef or a Senior Cook ready to step up to Sous Chef or Head Chef, and the duties will be shaped around your skills and leadership potential.
Service is fast-paced and high-volume, mainly in daytime hours. This is a full-time role with long-term career opportunities, run by owners who are hands-on. The café may offer employer sponsorship to suitable candidates, depending on the position and on visa eligibility requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Cook and plate breakfast and lunch dishes of high quality
- Hold presentation, freshness and consistency to a high standard
- Plan preparation so that the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently
- Support food safety, cleanliness and stock management
- Pull your weight with the team during busy services
- Share ideas for the menu and kitchen improvements, and take on leadership, training and kitchen management duties where it suits
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven experience in a professional commercial kitchen
- Confidence under pressure during busy services
- Pride in presentation, consistency and food quality
- Organised, efficient and a good team player
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic, with comfort doing early starts and weekend work
- Previous leadership experience is highly regarded
