A country hotel in regional Gippsland, Victoria, is hiring an experienced Chef/Cook for its full-time culinary team. The chef is central to guests enjoying their meals: inventive, quality dishes in a quick-moving kitchen, plus new menu ideas worked up with the Head Chef.

Key Responsibilities
- Cook inventive, quality meals in a quick-moving kitchen
- Work alongside the Head Chef on new menu ideas and on improving what is already served
- Get all food preparation and cooking done efficiently, to a high standard
- Keep the kitchen spotless, tidy and hygienic
- Offer excellent service to guests and answer their requests quickly
- Assist with kitchen inventory and ordering supplies, and follow all food safety and workplace health and safety regulations
Requirements & Eligibility
- Has spent at least 2 years as a Chef/Cook in a comparable hospitality setting
- Formal cookery training or qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- Excellent knowledge of how to prepare food, cook it well and keep it safe
- Strong time management and multitasking for a busy kitchen, a team player who adds to a positive work culture
- Enjoys making high-quality meals and lifting the dining experience
