The Southern Tablelands of New South Wales, near Goulburn, is the setting for a permanent, full-time Chef Manager job at an aged care site. The business behind it is an Australian-owned contract caterer with 25 years of experience in aged care, education, retail and remote services, and it wants a passionate person to take charge of the kitchen.
Your week runs Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. Day to day you would oversee kitchen operations, making sure every resident is served high-quality meals suited to their own dietary needs. Sponsorship may be available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Cook wholesome fresh food for a busy kitchen, including large-batch production
- Make texture-modified dishes that follow residents' dietary requirements and the kitchen's set standards
- Plan the day's kitchen work, decide priorities and keep operations moving without close supervision
- Keep hygiene, food safety and cleanliness at a high standard while offering residents and clients warm, professional service
- Help make mealtimes enjoyable with good food and attentive service
Requirements & Eligibility
- Trade qualification in commercial cookery that is recognised
- Food Safety Supervisor qualification (current)
- Background in food preparation, bulk cooking and kitchen operations
- Understanding of texture-modified diets and of meeting each person's dietary requirements
- Strong at customer service and communication, and able to work independently, manage priorities and hold standards high
- National Criminal History Check (current), and able to meet the site's flu vaccination requirements
