Assistant Chef

Visa sponsorship

Hospitality · Sydney, NSW, Australia · Contract · $35/hr · Visa: Employer sponsored

New owners are taking over a pub in Sydney and want to turn it into a busy local hub and sports venue with serious food. The hotel is being renovated, entertainment will increase and meals will be served at lunch and dinner every day in several parts of the venue. They are looking for cooks or chefs who are enthusiastic, innovative and aspirational.

As Assistant Chef you would be on casual shifts: Monday and Tuesday for lunch and dinner, then Saturday and Sunday for either lunch or dinner. Hours should rise as the venue grows. Anyone able to begin straight away has a clear advantage, and sponsorship might be offered by the venue to the right candidate.

Kenyan cooks going for pub kitchen work should set out the kinds of service you have handled, from busy lunches to full dinner trade, on a short, clear CV. Build AI CV makes that easy.
