A growing tourist park in Port Hedland, Western Australia, wants a dependable, hard-working cook or chef who truly cares about the food they put out. The post is full time, on 5 or 6 days a week by agreement.
Because the job is residential and not FIFO, you would live and work in the area. Before starting you complete a pre-employment medical that includes a drug and alcohol test. Sponsorship opportunities may be available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Cook tasty meals to a high standard, keeping quality, portions and plating consistent
- Comply with food safety, hygiene and cleaning rules
- Help to control stock, place orders and rotate stock
- Keep the kitchen tidy, safe and well organised
- Cut down waste and help the kitchen run efficiently
- Work as a good member of a busy team, preparing and serving food as needed
Requirements & Eligibility
- Past experience as a cook or chef
- Sound knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety, and the skill to cook consistent, high-quality meals
- Dependable under pressure
- Good communication and teamwork, a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
- Willing to live and work in the local area
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery preferred, though relevant experience can stand in for formal qualifications; Food Safety Certificate also preferred
- Pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol test
