Key Responsibilities
- Look after residents' day-to-day care and back the team
- Assess residents thoroughly and accurately
- Nurse in a way that protects residents' dignity and integrity and builds independence
- Oversee medications
- Plan, deliver and evaluate residents' care together with doctors, allied health professionals and families
- Supervise and coordinate care workers, enrolled nurses and other healthcare professionals
- Keep families informed, and carry overall responsibility for nursing care, interventions and treatments
Requirements & Eligibility
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Registered Nurse status with AHPRA
- A minimum of 3 months' work as a Registered Nurse in Australia, or a minimum of 2 years' work overseas
- Australian experience is preferred
- Leadership, with the ability to delegate and prioritise your workload
- Communicates well and solves clinical problems effectively
- Works in a multidisciplinary team and has provided clinical, patient-centred care
- Knowledge of the Aged Care Accreditation Standards and the aged care legislative framework, including safe medication administration
