Looking to swap a busy ward for the rhythm of general practice? A family clinic in Dubbo, New South Wales, wants an experienced Registered Nurse as its full-time Practice Nurse, Monday to Friday. The nurse supports patients of all ages and carries out health assessments on home visits.

Key Responsibilities
- Work beside the doctor throughout the clinic day
- Keep the treatment room stocked and sterile, with equipment in working order
- Tell patients what they need to know about their health
- Follow infection control and WHS practices
- Prepare the practice for accreditation standards
- Guide other staff in clinical matters
- Sort patients by urgency through triage
- Treat wounds and change dressings
- Immunise children and adults, and give travel vaccinations
- Run corporate health checks, ECG, audiometry and spirometry
- Manage chronic disease care and complete age-appropriate and Indigenous health assessments
- Store vaccines safely through the cold chain and train staff
Requirements & Eligibility
- AHPRA registration that is current, with CPD points as required
- Basic Life Support / CPR certificate that is in date, or an equivalent
- A valid Working With Children Check
- Strong at multi-tasking, problem solving and managing time
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Certified Immuniser, which is looked upon favourably
