Hamilton, New Zealand: a transport company with its own onsite workshop wants a mechanic to keep its fleet running. The fleet includes trucks, trailers and other equipment, and your job would be keeping each vehicle safe, reliable and ready for the road.
The position is permanent and full-time within a practical, hands-on team. The company is an approved accredited employer with Immigration New Zealand (INZ), which is relevant if you need employer sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities
- Handle regular servicing, maintenance and repairs across the fleet
- Find the cause of mechanical faults and fix them
- Inspect vehicles and report what upkeep they need
- Do basic electrical work on vehicles and trace electrical faults
- Finish every job safely and well, and keep the workshop clean and orderly
Requirements & Eligibility
- A qualified mechanic, or solid relevant mechanical experience
- Heavy vehicle, truck or trailer experience preferred
- Basic automotive electrical competence
- Hard-working and practical, comfortable working independently or with others
- Takes health and safety seriously
- Willing and able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
