Day to day you assess patients, plan and give their care and review how it is going, alongside colleagues from several disciplines. Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients, plan their emergency care, carry it out and review how it went
- Practise safe, effective emergency nursing that puts the patient first, and support patients and families during treatment
- Collaborate with the emergency team, which draws on several disciplines
- Take your turn on a rotating roster covering evenings, nights and weekends
Requirements & Eligibility
- Current AHPRA registration (or eligibility for registration) as a Registered Nurse
- At least 2 years of post-graduate nursing experience
- A postgraduate qualification in emergency nursing, or equivalent
- Able to provide high-quality nursing in line with professional competency standards, with strong critical thinking, communication and clinical decision-making
- Able to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team
