A trades recruiter in Perth, Western Australia, is looking for ceiling fixers and gypsum board installers with solid experience, for long-term full-time work on large commercial building projects. The people it wants are real tradespeople who can work from plans, mark out the job and finish installations without supervision, with a particular interest in those who have worked on commercial sites in New Zealand fitting suspended ceilings, steel stud partitions, plasterboard and interior systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Hang suspended T-bar and grid ceilings as well as plasterboard ceilings
- Put up acoustic ceiling systems with their framing, furring channels and suspension
- Erect steel stud walls and partitions, plus bulkheads and specialist interior features
- Fit plasterboard and gypsum board, including fire-rated and acoustic types
- Study plans, take measurements, set out and work on your own initiative
Requirements & Eligibility
- Substantial commercial background in ceilings, partitions, plasterboard and interior systems
- Able to read and interpret plans, measure and set out, and work independently
- Past work in New Zealand on hospitals, schools, apartments, offices, high-rise or other large commercial projects will be of particular interest
- Good spoken English and a solid employment record
- Can describe clearly in an interview what you did yourself
