A dementia care home in Christchurch, run by an innovative aged and dementia care provider, has a permanent Caregiver vacancy on full-time hours, with at least 30 a week. Hourly pay is $23.95 at Level 1, $24.06 at Level 2, $26.16 at Level 3 and $28.25 at Level 4 and above.
The provider is an Immigration New Zealand Accredited Employer. Visa sponsorship support is open to applicants who also have a Registered Nursing degree, or a Level 3 or above qualification directly relevant to caregiving plus an International Qualification Assessment (IQA).

Key Responsibilities
- Give residents personal care that is culturally safe, effective and holistic, covering eating, dressing, showering, mobility and communication
- Help with care plans and carry out therapy plans for people with dementia
- Watch each resident's progress and report changes or concerns about care promptly
- Keep resident records accurate and current, and assist registered nurses within their scope of practice
Requirements & Eligibility
- A real commitment to improving elderly people's lives, and a passion for aged care
- Willing to work any shift on a 24/7 roster
- Caregiving experience from earlier work is preferred
- Dementia care experience would be a strong advantage
- For visa support: a Registered Nursing degree, or a Level 3 or above caregiving qualification with an International Qualification Assessment (IQA)
