A dementia care specialist, an innovative aged care provider, runs small, homely care settings with a close-knit team that is strong on mentoring and training, and it has a permanent full-time Caregiver vacancy at one of its Christchurch homes. The roster covers 24/7 and the week is at least 30 hours. The hourly rate depends on level, from $23.95 at Level 1 to $28.25 at Level 4 and above.
The employer is an Immigration New Zealand Accredited Employer, which means it can offer visa sponsorship under the AEWV.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care that is holistic and culturally safe, covering showering, dressing, eating, mobility and communication
- Contribute to care planning and carry out therapy plans for people with dementia
- Monitor each resident's progress, flag any change or concern immediately, and keep their records current and accurate
- Assist registered nurses, always within your scope of practice
Requirements & Eligibility
- Heartfelt commitment to making elderly people's lives better, with kindness and empathy, and a passion for aged care
- Available for any shift on a 24/7 roster
- Caregiving experience from a previous role is preferred; dementia care experience counts as a strong advantage
- For visa support: a Registered Nursing degree, or a Level 4+ caregiving qualification with an International Qualification Assessment (IQA)
