A Blenheim rest home that specialises in aged and dementia care, and is known for an innovative approach, has a permanent Caregiver vacancy on full-time hours, with a minimum of 30 a week. The hourly rate is $23.95 for Level 1, $24.06 for Level 2, $26.16 for Level 3 and $28.25 for Level 4 and above.
The provider is an Immigration New Zealand Accredited Employer. Visa sponsorship support is open to applicants who also hold a Registered Nursing degree, or a Level 4 or above qualification directly relevant to caregiving together with an International Qualification Assessment (IQA).

Key Responsibilities
- Support residents with eating, dressing, showering, mobility and communication, in a way that is culturally safe, effective and holistic
- Help plan each person's care and follow therapy plans for residents with dementia
- Track how each resident is getting on, and flag any change in condition or worry about care without delay
- Keep resident records accurate and current, and assist registered nurses within their scope of practice
Requirements & Eligibility
- Real commitment to improving the lives of elderly people, and a passion for aged care
- Able to work any shift on a 24/7 roster
- Caregiving experience from earlier work is preferred
- Dementia care experience would be a strong advantage
- For visa support: a Registered Nursing degree, or a Level 4 or above caregiving qualification with an International Qualification Assessment (IQA)
