A Perth manufacturer that builds modular power systems and AI data centre equipment is enlarging its factory, and it is recruiting two trade-qualified welders for full-time and ongoing work in fabrication.
Welders here build skid bases, frames and enclosures, following engineering drawings and weld maps closely so that every weld is sound and compliant. You would work 40.5 hours a week: 6:00am to 3:30pm from Monday to Thursday, and 6:00am to 12:30pm on Friday. Visa sponsorship is available for the right overseas candidates.

Key Responsibilities
- Weld modules and structural steel with GMAW, using solid and cored wire
- Follow the engineering drawings and weld maps when welding structural members, from 530UB beams to 150x100 RS rafters
- Stick to approved welding procedures (WPS) for flat, horizontal and vertical welds
- Understand technical drawings, weld maps and job specifications
- Prepare the steel first with fit-up and tacking, then check each finished weld by eye against the specification
- Pitch in on general fabrication and assembly, and keep your area safe, clean and tidy to company and WHS standards
Requirements & Eligibility
- Welding or boilermaking trade qualification
- GMAW (MIG) on solid wire at a strong level; cored wire experience is highly regarded
- Capable of passing a 2F weld test in mild steel
- Comfortable welding flat, horizontally and vertically
- Skilled at reading technical drawings and weld maps
- Detail-focused and committed to quality work
- Reliable and safety-conscious as part of a team, with own welding helmet and own hand tools
