Moving from Nairobi to a cropping district in New South Wales? A family-run farming business near Griffith, NSW wants a capable full-time Diesel Mechanic to be the person who keeps its machines working across the year.
This is more than a workshop role. Trucks, farm machinery and other equipment all need you, and when something fails out in the field at a busy time, you go and sort it out. The employer is an approved sponsor and welcomes everyone who applies; anyone needing a visa should include English and/or skills test results already completed.

Key Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for keeping every piece of farm equipment serviced and repaired
- Inspect and test machinery, find worn or damaged parts, order replacements and work out the cause of breakdowns
- Go to field breakdowns and repair on site in busy periods
- Look after the workshop and the spare parts store
- Work with machine operators and managers, supervise junior staff at times, and keep maintenance and operations records
Requirements & Eligibility
- A Diesel Mechanic qualification or substantial hands-on experience
- Able to work alone and stay calm when solving problems
- Experience of farm or heavy machinery is preferred
- Hard-working and dependable when the farm is busiest
- Good communication
- Good organisation
