From Nairobi to Dunedin is a long way, but the role itself is clear: a full-time Construction Worker position with a New Zealand-owned labour hire company. It needs skilled, experienced people for building and civil construction projects in several areas, and its clients start new projects in 2027.
Qualified tradespeople, experienced trades assistants and skilled construction workers are all invited to apply. The company is an accredited employer with Immigration New Zealand. Key Responsibilities
- Take part in building and civil construction projects across several areas
- Carpenter, builder, framer and formwork duties, including hammerhand support
- Concrete placing and finishing, steel fixing, reinforcing and trowel operation
- Bricklaying, blocklaying and masonry
- Roofing, roof installation and cladding, plus floor laying and tiling
- Plastering, gib fixing, plasterboard stopping and painting
- Plumbing, drainlaying, pipe laying and drainage
- Electrical trade assistance, HVAC and ventilation installation, glazing and other general construction work
Requirements & Eligibility
- Worked in the construction industry in the previous 12 months
- Fit for physically demanding manual work
- Able to follow instructions and work effectively in a team
- Basic understanding of workplace health and safety requirements, and safe use of basic hand and power tools
- Reliable and punctual, and willing to work in outdoor environments
