Key Responsibilities
- Prepare beef, lamb, chicken and goat to halal standards, from cutting and trimming to portioning
- Keep meat handled, stored and displayed correctly at all times
- Guide customers on choices, special orders and cooking
- Keep the working area clean, safe and organised, to food safety standards, and work with your colleagues so the day-to-day operation runs smoothly
Requirements & Eligibility
- Previous butcher experience, with halal experience highly regarded
- Strong knife and portioning skills, with attention to detail
- An understanding of halal requirements in meat preparation
- A customer-focused approach and good communication skills, and a reliable, hardworking team player
